  • Many thanks to Dwayne, Kristin and Pidge for providing a superbly organized trip.  As a first time traveler on such an extensive journey, it was a pleasure not to have to worry about the details, but to focus on the people we encountered.  Those people extended themselves to us with amazing friendships, hospitality and self-sacrifice.  These will continue to bear fruit in my life to come. IS.
  • Traveling with AGPSF is a remarkable experience providing vivid glimpses of the ways people cope with extreme poverty while carrying out their commitment to their church.  Mixed with visits to Tanzanian Lutherans are close looks at many wild game in their natural habitats, all in a beautiful country.  GK.
  • We often think of Africa as a "hope-less" continent.  Discovery Safaris introduced me to leaders in Tanzania who embrace the hope of Jesus Christ.  I have been challenged by the self-sacrificing stewardship of these faithful Christians.  Through Discovery Safaris a door of hope has been opened for our parish as we seek to build partnerships with these leaders.  SJ

  • After my first visit to Tanzania four years ago, I fell in love; the people grabbed my heart!  Our brothers and sisters live in such difficult circumstances, the fields are dry and poverty is evident.  But, I saw and felt their incredible faith in God and the joy they experience in their praise of Him.  Traveling with Discovery Safaris allows me to renew friendships with my brothers and sisters and reawaken and strengthen my faith.  The people of the ELCT ND show me what it is like to live a life filled with the Holy Spirit and to experience true brotherly love.   PM.
