Godparents for Tanzania (G4TZ) provides scholarships to students in Tanzania to help them pursue their education and contribute to their families, their communities, and their country.
In Tanzania, and many other poor countries, there is no free public education beyond primary school. Parents must pay tuition for their children to attend school. Sadly, if parents cannot afford this, then their children stay home.
Rogathe (left), attends secondary school on a G4TZ scholarship. His school's song includes the lyrics, "Without an education, we cannot build our nation."
Students in Tanzania know how important education is, and, when given the chance to go to school, they make the most of the opportunity.
By providing scholarships to students like Rogathe, G4TZ is helping young Tanzanians to improve the future for themselves, their families, and their country.
