Godparents for Tanzania Scholarship Criteria

are not being accepted.
Are you searching for a scholarship? Please note the following criteria for applying for a scholarship with Godparents for Tanzania:
• You must be a Tanzanian citizen from the Kilimanjaro or Karatu areas of Tanzania.
• You must demonstrate a satisfactory academic record at your current level of education.
• You must be attending school in Tanzania. Godparents for Tanzania does not provide scholarships for foreign study.
• You must be studying on the secondary or first degree university level. That is, Godparents for Tanzania does not provide scholarships for graduate level study.
• If studying on the university level, you must agree to work in Tanzania for five years following graduation. Exceptions may be made for foreign residencies or internships after which the student will return to Tanzania to work for five years.
• If you meet the above criteria, your application must be accompanied by a reference from a non-related adult (preferably an educator or clergy person).
Selection is based on multiple criteria including academic ability, family circumstance and financial need.
