Our Policy
G4TZ uses its best efforts to respect and protect the privacy of our online visitors and donors. G4TZ will never share, trade, rent or sell your e-mail address and any other personal information, including financial donor postal mailing lists, with any third party organization or individual, except as expressly permitted by you or required by law or court order. G4TZ does reserve the right to change our policy at any time. If we choose to change our policy, you may request to have your information removed from our systems. Such a request may be made orally, by electronic mail, or by written request. The complete removal of your information upon request is a permanent, written policy of G4TZ.

 

What Information Do We Collect And How Do We Use It?
When you make a donation or purchase on-line, we ask for your name, address, daytime phone number, e-mail address, and credit card information. We use your information to process your donation or purchase and to verify credit card data. We use your mailing address to send you a tax-deductible receipt for your donation, or to ship you the products you have purchased.

 

We may disclose to third parties aggregate statistics regarding donations and purchases. These statistics never contain personally identifying information. The statistical information disclosed may include items such as the total number of donations for a particular time period or the total amount of donations for a particular time period. Aggregate information of this kind is used to encourage fundraising partnerships.

 

We use a third-party financial institution to process our credit card transactions. They receive the credit card number and other personal information only to verify and process the credit card transactions in a secure environment.

 

Is Credit Card Information Secure?
We care about the safety and security of your transaction. We use high grade encryption and the https security protocol to communicate with your browser software. This method is the industry standard security protocol, which makes it extremely difficult for anyone else to intercept the credit card information you send to us. Companies we work with to process credit card transactions also use high grade encryption and security protocols.



Is My Personal Information Secure?
Yes. The same high grade encryption and https security protocols used for financial transactions on our site are used in collecting personal information.



Are There Other Ways To Make My Donation That Do Not Require Using The G4TZ  Web Site?
Yes.
(1) You can send anonymous donations by simply sending a money order to us at the address at the beginning of this privacy policy. If you do not give your name and address we will be unable to send you a tax-deductible receipt.
(2) If you wish to remain anonymous but want to donate on-line and have a tax-deductible receipt, please donate to us through an on-line charity site such as www.networkforgood.org or www.justgive.org
(3) You will receive a tax-deductible receipt if you send us a personalized check with the correct mailing information imprinted on the check.

 

We Care About Doing It Right
In addition to maintaining privacy and security controls over information you share with us, G4TZ works to accurately process your contribution information. During business hours, staff is available to answer questions about your financial donation at kdmcfarland@agpsf.org.  G4TZ employs error checking procedures to make certain transactions are processed completely and accurately. As necessary, changes are made to improve our systems.

 

How Do We Use "Cookies"?
Visitors should be aware that non-personal information and data may be automatically collected by the G4TZ web site through the use of "cookies." Godparents for Tanzania welcomes children to learn more about our organization and, where appropriate, become involved in the activities of G4TZ.
